Thinking and Writing Inspired by Living in South Dakota

"How'd you end up here?" or "Why did you leave the Cayman Islands?" are often such questions I received upon beginning to live here in South Dakota.

Never really thought of why people end up where they do. I just grew up trusting God and His flawless Word that says, "God created all men from one blood and knows the boundaries of their habitation..."

However, after all these questions, I decided to think more deeply...why/how does God move people about the globe.

The earth is the Lord and the fullness thereof and the earth is full of His lovingkindness and God asking Job, "Where were you when I hung the stars?..." is proof positive that no matter what or who God creates or to where He moves human beings, it's all His doing, as He is everwhere present, all powerful, all knowing.

Found it interesting as a transplanted Caymanian to have come across this street sign in pic above. It's in Sioux Falls, South Dakota...off Benson Road.

Now anytime I cross by that area, I can hear the U2 song playing in my head..."Where the streets have no name..." and I answer back to the echoing song, "but this street has a name that cannot be forgotten by one who was born there..."

Comforting aspects of Sioux Falls architecture are the Crosses valiantly displayed. I like 'em on top of chapels, churches etc. One is in front of a corn field...

Here is one with the sun blasting across it and it makes me think that when Jesus comes back, if I'm alive at His return that I imagine the sky will be bright and rumbling with the crackling sound of all heaven breaking loose to send forth Christ and every last angel from eternity.
